The team operates as first point of contact/liaison with legal and compliance on all consumer issues.
About the job:
Responsible for researching, processing and resolving consumer complaint’s/disputes. Identify instances of fraud and investigate fraudulent activities. Having knowledge of the FCRA guidelines. Handle all high-level regulatory consumer escalated complaints including Better Business Bureau (BBB), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Attorney General Offices (AG), and all other regulatory agencies. You’ll be responsible for: Acting as liaison among all internal LexisNexis key stakeholders, initiating disputes and drafting a detailed timeline and response for Compliance approval. Reviews complaints and analyzes if disputes should be handled internally or sent externally to Fair Information Practice (FIP), Credit Bureau, or internal colleagues. Utilizes databases (MBSI, Salesforce) to enter disputes and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and ensures timely completion of disputes meeting or exceeding the SLA set forth by FCRA. Ability to work in fast-paced environment while having strong written and oral communication skills good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Reviews reports for accuracy and correct disclosure making final decision on which reports are sent to consumers. Follows strict guidelines and SOP regarding various disputes.
Qualifications:
2 years’ compliance experience preferred. College degree preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) Organized, detail-minded, with strong analytical skills.
