Scope of Work:

Under the general guidance of the Bank Secrecy Act Officer(BSA Officer), and in accordance with established policies and procedures, incumbent is responsible for ensuring BSA Compliance through Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), Customer Identification Program (CIP) tracking and monitoring. Incumbent handles compliance with Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements by performing new account testing, database reviews and processing 314a requests by dual control between BSA Specialists Essential Functions (3): Responsible for compliance with all aspects of

including detection, review and completion of BSA required forms and logs. Responsible for delivery BSA training, New Employee Orientation (NEO) and

Incubator Training:

Reviews for accuracy and/or completes all required cash reporting and monetary instrument forms and/or logs as they relate to BSA compliance. Ensures detection, accuracy and timely submission of all required CTRs by dual control. Management of CTR exempt customer review, including initial, requalification, revocation and recommendations for new exemptions. Performs OFAC and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) customer database reviews. Manages and maintains internal OFAC Watch Lists. Assists Retail Experience, Branches, Credit Administration, Accounting departments with potential OFAC matches. Monitors for compliance with OFAC at account opening. Monitors BSA Inbox and takes appropriate action. In consultation with the Senior BSA Specialist, BSA Specialists are responsible for delivery of live and virtual annual BSA branch training, NEO and participation in Incubator training. Responsible for analysis of specific

alerts. Ensures compliance with the Bank’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Beneficial Ownership Interest (BOI) requirements. Monitors new deposit accounts to verify that are opened are in compliance with the Bank’s CIP and required CIP documents have been collected. Obtains daily Business Analytics (BA) report from the core. Performs weekly and monthly reviews of missing Critical CIP. Coordinates with Branch staff for collection of missing Critical CIP and account closure recommendation in accordance with the Bank’s CIP. Completes initial BSA risk rating review based on the Bank’s risk criteria of new deposit accountholders/owners including Private ATM Owners/Operators and refers any accounts that may require more than a Moderate risk rating to the Senior BSA Specialist. Monitor, review and enter

data obtained when a new deposit account is opened or through ongoing monitoring. Conducts behavior reviews for deposit accounts, including initial behavior settings, determines the frequency of the ongoing behavior reviews, and recommends periodic changes to behavior settings. Responsible for reviewing any monitoring software and/or system generated reports and alerts, as well as, through general awareness of customer activity, to detect fraud and/or suspicious activity: Reviews BSA software alerts, including 314(a), escalating any that need additional/immediate review and/or mitigating steps to prevent additional fraud/loss or Law Enforcement reporting. Manual review of various activity reports maintained outside of the BSA software for suspicious activity detection. Document suspicious activity detected and prepare a suspicious activity referral as appropriate. Conducts quarterly monitoring of the Bank’s Treasurer’s Check (TC) log to detect potential Cannabis related activity. Conducts appropriate monitoriong of activity once detected. Escalate for potential SAR filing as appropriate.
