About the Position This role involves inspecting center-based and home-based childcare facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and investigating potential violations and complaints, assisting with renewal and mid-year inspections, and documenting any findings while in childcare facilities. This role also involves enforcing state and federal laws and regulations that safeguard the health and safety of children in licensed and unlicensed childcare environments. Inspectors will determine non-compliance, document violations, and, when necessary, initiate enforcement actions. They review records, observe daily operations, and verify compliance, preparing detailed reports of non-compliance when discovered. Day travel and some overnight travel required. What you’ll need to be Successful A positive attitude with strong multitasking capabilities and attention to detail, along with excellent time management and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience. •

Agency Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in early childhood development or Child Protective Services is highly preferred.
