- Summary/Objective
- The
HMDA & CRA
Specialist is responsible for the tracking and analysis of lending data consistent with the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
- Primary Functions
- 1.
Identify and review HMDA and CRA reportable applications across all business lines, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to ensure regulatory compliance.2. Confirm that all errors found during data integrity review are corrected.3. Maintain geocoding on all HMDA and CRA reportable properties.4. Create and maintain assessment area maps.5. Provide location maps and reports for the Community Development Officer.6. Establish and maintain effective communication with production and operations staff in order to resolve any inconsistencies in HMDA and CRA data and to recommend changes as needed to ensure the accuracy of the data.7. Report any potential concerns about non-compliance with HMDA or CRA regulatory requirements to the Compliance Manager.8. Assist Compliance Manager with HMDA and CRA submissions while ensuring the accuracy of Loan Application Registers.9. Work with the Compliance Manager on review of any internal or external HMDA and CRA audits, identifying systemic errors, coordination of training for staff as needed, and preparing responses to said audits.10. Maintain a good working knowledge of the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and Community Reinvestment Act.

- Required Education, Experience, and Skills

High school graduate or GED and either Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience.2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.4. Ability to identify potential problems quickly and find effective resolutions.5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.6. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain order.

- 1. Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related experience.2. Lending or lending operations experience.
