Polkton, NC Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team at South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) as the IT Governance and Compliance Coordinator. Located at the OCH Campus in Monroe, NC, this full-time role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. You will ensure institutional policies, regulatory compliance, and security standards are upheld through expert oversight of data governance, vendor management, policy administration, and IT asset tracking including the administrative functions related to these duties. This position is office-based with occasional travel between campuses and has regular working hours with flexibility required during audits or special projects.

Essential Duties Summary Role Expectations:

As the IT Governance & Compliance Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities: 1.

Data Governance:

o Coordinate the Data Governance Council, implementing and enforcing data handling policies aligned with FERPA, NIST, and CIS standards. o Lead data compliance audits and reporting. 2.

Contract and Vendor Management:

o Oversee IT contract lifecycles, conduct vendor risk assessments, and ensure vendor compliance and performance. o Coordinate procurement and legal review processes. 3.

Policy and Procedure Management:

o Develop, maintain, and ensure timely review of IT policies and procedures. o Oversee version control, documentation management, and compliance training. 4.

Asset and Inventory Oversight:

o Manage IT asset lifecycles from procurement to disposal, maintaining detailed inventory records. o Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accurate reporting. 5. All Administrative Functions related to the execution of the role including but not limited to: o Program Management o Reporting o Coordination o Policy and procedure negotiation You will also undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the CIO to support strategic institutional objectives. Become a key member of SPCC’s IT team, ensuring operational excellence through compliance and governance. to contribute your expertise to our thriving institution. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in IT governance, compliance, vendor management, or asset management Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FERPA, NIST, and CIS Controls Experience using IT governance systems (e.g., ServiceNow) Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field

Certifications:
