Job Description

Customs Coordinator 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Greensboro, NC 27406 Graham Personnel Services is seeking a detail-oriented Customs & Compliance Coordinator to oversee all aspects of customs classification and compliance, as well as regulatory requirements related to food safety and facility inspections. This role ensures smooth international operations and full regulatory compliance across relevant agencies.

Job Specifics:

Contract only for 6-8 months Greensboro Manufacturing company 1st shift M-F schedule Must work in office $30-35/hr Customs Compliance

  • Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS)
  • Maintain and update HTSUS database; share current records with the customs broker
  • Audit customs entries submitted by the broker; report discrepancies or violations to VP of Operations
  • Maintain a comprehensive customs compliance program, including the broker’s Letter of Instruction
  • Manage and support customs audits when required Regulatory & General Compliance
  • Stay informed on relevant US FDA, CTPAT, and other regulatory requirements impacting products and facilities
  • Maintain records of all inspections and audits for facilities processing or handling products; provide documentation as needed
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries with accurate food safety information
  • Complete food safety questionnaires for customers
  • Coordinate and manage external audits as required
Qualifications:
  • Experience with customs regulations, HTSUS classification, and broker communications
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and related regulations (FDA, CTPAT)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and audits
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
