Occupancy Compliance Specialist 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 5509 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410 Job Summary The Occupancy Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the tenant file reviews and report findings consistent with established policy of The Arc of NC. This position involves working closely with tenants, property management team, and various stakeholders to ensure that occupancy rates are maximized while maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction. The individual will also serve as the primary communication point to facilitate and respond to HUD initiated reviews, and those HUD affiliates, the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA), Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and other potential local oversight agencies. The ideal candidate must possess strong working knowledge of fair housing laws, the

Handbook, and tenant and property owner regulations. Strong computer literacy skills are essential to this position. Responsibilities Complete an annual review of the Local Operating unit (LOU) Manual and make any needed revisions. Review all housing policies and procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure that they consistently comport to HUD and legal requirements. Participate in reviewing any housing decision reconsideration requests that may be received by The Arc of North Carolina. • Qualifications Experience in property management or a related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years affordable housing experience and at least 2 years affordable housing compliance experience. Certified CPO, FHC, MORS, CMH or AHM preferred. Excellent conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes professionally. Proven customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
