•This is a field work position that will serve the Western Region of North Carolina. This position requires travel and includes access to a state vehicle.• This vacancy announcement will be assigned to Western, North Carolina which includes the following counties: Alexander, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Polk, Rowan, Rutherford, Surry, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Yancey. The Agent Services Division (ASD) is a part of the North Carolina Department of Insurance. This Division is designed to protect the general public of North Carolina by making sure that individuals representing the industry have an adequate knowledge of the industry and possess the moral and ethical characteristics necessary to operate in a fiduciary capacity. The Division’s main function is to regulate all licensed agents, brokers, limited representatives, appraisers, adjusters, insurance premium finance companies, collection agencies, and motor clubs authorized to do business in North Carolina. The Division operates in three separate and distinct sections: 1) Licensing, 2) Financial, and Compliance. This position is part of one of the compliance sections. The
