Summary:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following: Compile appropriate information in order to file the 8300 form
Ensure all 8300s are filed with the IRS timely for the stores assigned
Ensure compliance with all 8300 laws
Review daily 8300 reports for each store
Ensure that all documents for the 8300 are uploaded into Box
Ensure that notification letters are mailed out to customers in accordance with 8300 law
Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services

Information Technology Desired Work Experience:
√ up to 3 years o 3-5 years o 5+ years
Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Accounting experience in a high volume environment desired. Strong organizational skills required.
Certificates and Licenses:
o Valid Driver’s License o
Automobile Salesperson License Computer Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to learn the Dealership Management System, Spreadsheet software, accounting software, and inventory software.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
