GSCU has an opportunity available for a senior level Compliance Specialist III. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring our credit union adheres to all federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest standards of compliance across all operations. Compliance Specialist III General expected job duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Lead compliance oversight and ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal policies across departments. Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of compliance procedures and policies across the credit union. Conduct advanced compliance reviews and quality control assessments of member accounts to identify and address potential issues with staff. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters to ensure a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements. Help prepare necessary reports to regulatory bodies such as audits, regulatory filings, and other compliance-related submissions. Proactively identify and communicate deficiencies or issues related to compliance and provide guidance in developing alternative solutions. Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance across all areas of the credit union’s operations and ensure consistency in policy application. Other duties as assigned Qualifications and skills: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years compliance experience, preferably within the credit union or financial industry. Possess a strong knowledge of financial institution operations, laws, regulations, products, and services. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and professionally with employees, members, and vendors while conveying complex compliance concepts. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
