Job Description:

As a Compliance Specialist (Patient Privacy) at Essentia Health you will:

  • Assist in the implementation and operations of the Essentia Health Organizational Integrity and Compliance Program specific to the patient privacy program
  • Provide guidance about patient privacy rules and regulations
  • Perform investigations on allegations of wrongdoing related to privacy and HIPAA which may involve difficult conversations with patients and/or employees
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer, management team and senior compliance specialists in developing and maintaining all aspects of the compliance program strategies and system-wide policies, procedures, plans and processes This may be a good position for you if you:

Education Qualifications:
Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in healthcare, business, health information, social work, nursing, administrative, technical or related field.

Required Experience:

3 years of healthcare experience

Preferred Experience:

Experience in healthcare compliance

Required Certifications:

Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar designation required (or to be obtained within 4 years of hire).
