Financial Markets _______________________________________________________________________ Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Investor Relations Associate to join our fast-growing fintech team. This role will focus on supporting investor tax compliance workflows, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of investor tax documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and embraces process improvement. Ideally, you will have some understanding of tax operations processes but a background in investor services/relations or other operations and compliance related functions involving external communications is acceptable. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for managing and responding to tax document-related inquiries using our internal inquiry management system. Coordinate the collection and tracking of documents by initiating structured outreach campaigns to investors and advisors. Validate and process tax forms using automated validation tools and ensure proper documentation workflows are followed. Facilitate secure and compliant upload and distribution of validated tax forms across internal systems and to third-party administrators. Collaborate on cross-functional projects to enhance the tax operations function, including systems/process improvements and engagements with external tax advisors. Monitor investor communication preferences (e-Delivery elections) and perform necessary follow-ups to maintain compliance and client satisfaction. Contribute to the creation and refinement of educational materials such as FAQs and thought leadership content for clients and internal stakeholders.
Eligibility Requirements Client Service Orientation:
ability to manage high volumes of inquiries with responsiveness and professionalism.
Communication Skills:
excellent written communication skills, including crafting standardized outreach messages and client-facing materials.
Document Management & Compliance:
familiarity with tax form collection and validation processes (e.g., W-9, W-8 series) and ability to manage secure document workflows.
Process Improvement Mindset:
experience identifying inefficiencies and helping implement practical solutions within operational workflows.
Technical Fluency:
comfortable working with internal systems (e.g., ticketing tools like Freshdesk or Zendesk), tax form validation platforms, and secure document upload solutions.
Project Coordination:
organized and proactive in tracking statuses across multiple stakeholders and deliverables. Experience in investor relations, tax operations, or compliance roles within fintech, asset management, or financial services. Familiarity with IRS tax documentation (W-9, W-8BEN, W-8IMY, etc.).
Nice to have:
exposure to working with custodians, fund administrators, or tax advisory firms. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. In the US, the target base salary for this role is $65K-$120K. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors.
