The Compliance Officer ensures that all Global Academies schools are meeting its local, state, and federal reporting obligations. In conjunction with human resources, ensure that the organizations’ policies are being followed by all staff members. In addition, the Compliance Officer collects, prepares, and files required documents, state data collection, annual reports, rewarded grant documents, state, and federal program documents. The Compliance Officer serves as the Food Service Director and supports the School Operations Managers in managing and maintaining all aspects of the food service program.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Submit required reports of all state, federal and local programs (PIMS, Epicenter, etc.) Ensure that each school’s Title I program is meeting its obligation to improve educational opportunities to all students, by maintaining program documents, letters, and reports. Attend federal and state compliance meetings/trainings as required by the PA Department of Education (PDE).
Food Program oversight:
National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, submission of renewal annual contracts and reporting. Submission of reimbursement food program claims. Oversight of program administrative reviews for federal/state grants and food programs. Complete direct certification participant eligible updates bi-monthly, and annual CEP updates using PrimeroEdge system. Act 48 submissions of staff professional development credits. Submission of/and reporting on state and federal program grants as they apply to each school. Provide reports as requested for schools. Other duties as determined by COO. Professional Qualifications Needed Bachelor’s degree in Business or a minimum five (5) years’ experience required Knowledge of education compliance reporting requirements, especially in charter schools Must have strong organizational skills Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Must be detail-oriented Must be proficient in office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint Must be proficient in using a desktop and/or laptop
