Bucknell University is seeking a Coordinator for Compliance Services to join our Athletics Department. Reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services, this position plays a vital role in ensuring the University’s 27 varsity athletic programs and approximately 700 student-athletes operate within NCAA Division I and conference regulations. The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring athletic compliance; and serving as a resource for coaches, staff, and student-athletes while coordinating with University, conference, and NCAA offices. In addition to compliance oversight, this role also provides academic enhancement support to help foster the academic success and well-being of student-athletes. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational and communication skills, an understanding of NCAA rules, and a commitment to integrity and institutional control in collegiate athletics.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role, which is generally scheduled to work during the day from Monday

Additional evening and weekend work may be required in order to meet the needs of the department.

What You Will Do:

Athletic Department Compliance Assist in establishing and maintaining a program that ensures proper transmission of NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and interpretations within the athletics department Coordinate and provide information on current rules affecting coaches and staff, which requires responding in a timely manner to coaches’ and staff’s requests for rule clarification and interpretation Assist with department compliance and business process databases and software Monitor and approve coaches’ recruiting activities and countable athletically related activity submissions Participate in compliance-related programs and discussions, including: monthly conference calls and educational webinars and programs (e.g., NCAA Regional Rules), as necessary Compliance Education Coordinate educational programming for athletics staff and student-athletes that provides regular updates to new rules and interpretations Develop a comprehensive compliance orientation for newly hired Department of Athletics and Recreation staff Perform regular evaluations of the orientation and rules education programs to ensure and improve the effectiveness Academic Support Coordinate the scheduling and operation of the Academic Enhancement Program Perform Academic Coaching for at risk student-athletes Student Athlete Services Collaborate with the Associate Director of Athletics/Compliance and Student Services to track, approve, and report NCAA Special Student Assistance Fund Review and process student-athlete Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for NCAA compliance Facilitate educational sessions on personal branding, entrepreneurship, and personal finance for student-athletes Serve as a liaison between the Department of Athletics and University offices (Financial Aid, Registrar/Academic Services, Admissions, and Residence Life) to ensure NCAA, Conference, and University compliance Provides additional support through Academic Enhancement initiatives

What You Will Bring:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree Background in NCAA compliance and/or work within the legal industry

Preferred, But Not Required:

Prior experience in a Division I Intercollegiate Athletics compliance office Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an office setting, with or without accommodations, to include: sitting, standing, moving about the office and campus.

22.70-28.38 The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate’s credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
