Accounting Review & Compliance Coordinator Family Services, Inc. DBA Origin SC 8084 Rivers Ave Ste 100, North Charleston, SC 29406 Family Services, Inc. DBA Origin SC is a fast-paced, North Charleston nonprofit agency in need of a full-time Accounting Review and Compliance Coordinator. Since 1888, Origin SC has remained one of the leading nonprofit human service organizations in providing professional financial and housing counseling services. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve financial and housing stability through advocacy, counseling, and education. Job Overview & Responsibilities This position is primarily responsible for internal program auditing, posting interest and/or account reconciliations for client assets, individual accounts, and corporate accounts. This includes, but not limited, scheduled QCRs (quality control reviews), reconciliation of client asset accounts with posting interest and/or Depreciation/Appreciation, reconciliation of client individual accounts. Provide back up to Operations Assistant duties as they relate to the Fiduciary and Representative Payee Departments (debit card, vendors). Assist in other various tasks and cross train as needed in the Accounting Department. Courtesy, responsiveness, flexibility, resourcefulness, and attention to details are necessary to respond to the needs of the clients and the organization. Applicant must be outgoing, motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented. Very strong organizational skills are a must in this fast-paced environment. Qualifications Required degree in accounting and/or business-related field. Preferred experience in office procedures, bookkeeping, and financial audits. Preferred experience in bank account management including reconciliation and investigation. Preferred experience in accounts receivable and payable management. General IT skills Must have strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word, as well as excellent organization, attention to detail, and research skills.
