What you will do:
You will research tax laws, conduct audits of partnership tax returns, and provide customer service to all customers within the Corporate and Income Tax Family.
Primary job duties include:
Coordinating, planning, analyzing, and auditing partnership taxes for SCDOR in close cooperation with the Income Tax Services Sections. Examining partnership accounts for compliance with state and federal tax laws. Providing customer service to taxpayers, their representatives, and internal customers. Researching and communicating information regarding the interpretation and application of partnership, fiduciary, and corporate tax family tax laws, technical/delinquent tax, or account adjustments. Examining accounts, processing updates, sending correspondence, and making necessary adjustments. Obtaining and maintaining knowledge of various tax applications, making recommendations, and monitoring system enhancements based on law changes, forms changes, and to improve efficiency and accuracy. Working with developers and vendors to analyze and develop applicable systems and to determine any system modifications or enhancements needed. Acquiring, applying, and maintaining the tax law knowledge necessary to become proficient in performing duties related to tax laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policy documents.
Minimum and Additional Requirements Either:
A bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; OR An associate’s degree and four years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; OR A high school diploma and six years of relevant experience in in business management, public administration, or administrative services Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning. Preferred Qualifications Accounting hours Tax preparation or analysis experience Basic knowledge of SC tax laws, forms, and computer systems

Training :
As a Partnership Coordinator, you will participate in an initial training program along with continued trainings to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to successfully perform your job.
Hours :
Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week). Telework schedule : This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week.
