RAM accomplishes its mission by operating mobile clinics, which offer a combination of dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals, as well as disaster response and veterinary programs. The Clinic Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Clinic Manager and serves as a part of the Operations Team. Job Responsibilities Building and maintaining healthy strategic relationships with direct supervisor, personnel, volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives Develops and maintains productive working relationships with all levels of management and staff Providing general administrative and clerical support Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all federal and state rules and regulations governing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), X-ray compliance, and any other regulations that may apply to Remote Area Medical, such as Dental or Medical Inspections Work with Operations Team to identify and correct potential areas of non-compliance and anticipate future compliance requirements Maintain current knowledge and continue education on laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies and procedures Ensure issues are identified, investigated, and resolved Effectively communicates with external entities as necessary to address compliance matters, such as Radiation Safety or Laboratory departments in all states General office duties, including but not limited to, copying, filing, faxing, check requests, mailings, typing of correspondence, conference call scheduling, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, creating and maintaining files, keeping work calendar up to date, updating clinic Smartsheets, completing weekly cybersecurity trainings Performing tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team Job Requirements High school diploma or GED 1-year or more experience as a Medical Compliance Specialist or Paralegal (Preferred) Proficiency in English (oral and written) Comfortable with both legal and medical terminology Strong communication and people skills Excellent problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and shift focus quickly Positive Attitude Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Must be able to work independently and as part of a team and carry out instructions with a minimum of supervision Physical Requirements Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive RAM vehicle RAM’s current benefits plan covers 100% of the cost for insurance premiums for employees, their spouses, and their dependents.
