Job Description

DescriptionAt Amazon, we’re working to be the most customer-centric company on Earth. Amazon’s North American Surface Transportation (NAST) Compliance Team is seeking a NAST Senior Compliance Analyst to drive large scale projects, programs and technical initiatives within Amazon Middle Mile Transportation network. This is an exciting space that is in the heart of North American Surface Transportation Safety & Compliance within Middle Mile. The team is comprised of subject matter experts who leverage transportation compliance administration with efforts to continually raise the bar on transportation services at Amazon. Key job responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations.
  • Build relationships with project stakeholders across key internal teams, stakeholder teams and external partners.
  • Establish mechanisms that ensure highest levels of Amazon policies related to Department of Transportation regulations across our Middle Mile transportation network.
  • Understand the deliverables of project stakeholders, critical path items, and effectively communicate status, potential risks, and delays.
  • Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and enjoy working on different problems every day.
  • Develop, implement and govern Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance for all projects to the given stakeholders.
  • Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors to discuss performance metrics, service level agreements, contract negotiations, and daily workload volumes.
  • Look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence.
  • Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, and set project priorities and milestones. This role operates on a 4-10 schedule. Four 10-hour shifts (flexible start times). Sunday

  • SaturdayBasic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience handling compliance tasks, including regulatory or insurance compliance assessments, or similar relevant experience.
  • Strong data analytical skills and expertise with Excel.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience, leading teams.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience writing documents on topics such as process improvement proposals, business requirements, product roadmap and proof of concept.
  • Experience utilizing expertise and judgment to determine the right stakeholders to inform decisions, define goals and design a long-term strategy, leading with limited guidance.
  • Experience with
FMCSA/DOT

regulations.

  • Software development experience / Coding knowledge
  • Experience conducting advanced statistical analysis (skilled in using one or more of R/SPSS/SAS/Python and etc.
