Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Tax Compliance Coordinator to join our growing tax practice. In this role, you will be responsible for filing and paying payroll tax, sales taxes, and other periodic taxes on behalf of our clients throughout the year. You will also serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding all tax-related matters within your scope. This is a client-facing role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple accounts. The hours for this position will vary depending on tax filing schedules throughout the year. For the right fit, this role has the potential to grow into a long-term or full-time position by tax season.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare, file, and pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, and other periodic taxes for clients in a timely manner. Track and meet deadlines based on different federal, state, and local tax schedules. Maintain communication with clients regarding necessary information, filing timelines, and any issues or questions. Organize and document client tax filings and payment confirmations. Ensure compliance with tax laws and filing requirements across jurisdictions. Collaborate with other team members to support client needs and improve internal processes.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Prior experience in payroll, sales tax, or general tax compliance (required). Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Comfort with technology and tax software (QuickBooks, payroll platforms, etc.). Professional, clear, and friendly communication skills with clients. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing workload throughout the year.

Schedule & Compensation:

Hours will vary based on tax deadlines; busiest periods may include quarterly and year-end filing times. Flexible scheduling within deadline constraints. Pay is competitive and based on experience.
