Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Uphold SmartBank Core Values & Core Purpose Adheres to and embraces the SmartBank Way by Acting Smart, Looking Smart and Being Smart Monitor daily demand deposit transaction reports, auditing bank holds to ensure compliance with Regulation CC (Expedited Funds Availability Report). Conduct secondary review of applications, denials, and originations to assess compliance with regulatory issues. Prepare monthly compliance reports for the Risk Management Committee and quarterly reports for the Audit Committee, summarizing findings from secondary reviews. Assist in audit and examination preparations by gathering necessary documentation and supporting materials. Develop a thorough understanding of all federal and state regulatory regulations and stay informed of changes in the regulatory environment through ongoing education and training. Ideal candidates for the role will include: Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School or GED equivalent required. 1-2 years of experience in bank compliance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of lending legal requirements and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
