Incumbents work withborrowers and Commercial Bankers in the preparation and presentation ofloan proposal packets for the Loan Committee meetings. Incumbentsconduct financial analysis on borrowers to assess the ability to repayloans, monitor trends and conditions, and to determine and alert seniormanagement as to potential problem situations which surface fromanalytical research. In addition, incumbents monitor loan compliance bytracking technical exceptions and calculation of financial covenants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.1. Analyze and spread financial statements and related material for complex commercial loans.2. Determine the need for a more thorough research or additional information and work with the Commercial Bankers to obtain same information.3. Stay informed on respective industries represented within loan portfolios and trade area.4. Offer recommendations based on analysis concerning credit-worthiness and the ability of the customers to repay loans. Jointly work with Commercial Bankers to prepare loan proposals for customer requests and credit memorandums.5. Work directly with customers and prospects during the credit review process in conjunction with the Commercial Banker.6. Make recommendations to senior management regarding improvements to bank procedures and processes.7. Monitor loan compliance throughout the year through monitoring of technical exceptions and calculation of financial covenants.8. Assist manager with monthly or quarterly portfolio monitoring reports.9. Assist with the preparation of concentration reports for review by senior management as requested.10. May prepare reports to forecast future expectations and to show how certain industries will perform to determine risk associated with the endeavor.11. Assist with training new Credit Analysts.12. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
