The Role Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include: Reviewing and evaluating submitted Credit Applications ; communicating recommendations internally for approving applications into credit contracts, and identifying possible exceptions. Developing and maintaining positive business relationships with dealer partners through daily conversations and solicitations; providing exceptional customer service, effective and timely communications, and responsiveness to all credit processing questions and inquiries while maintaining a high level of integrity. Communicating credit decisions to the dealer partner and sales team within acceptable callback times. Maintaining a highly-detailed knowledge of SAFCO’s credit program guidelines. Achieving or exceeding established market goals, as well as dealer performance goals. Working closely with the funding and credit teams throughout the loan approval process. Verification of application stipulations. Ability to read and understand an applicant’s credit bureau. What You Will Bring … Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills 2+ years of customer service experience in a corporate setting Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products, including advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to adapt to pick up new technical skills and job knowledge Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance Prior experience reviewing credit bureaus (auto finance experience preferred), along with a familiarity with legal and compliance programs, including ECOA , Truth in Lending ( TILA ), state and federal lending guidelines, is preferred.
