Miami, FL | Full-Time A well-established financial institution is looking for a seasoned credit professional to help shape and lead credit risk strategy, policy development, and portfolio oversight. We are seeking candidates with experience in the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement credit risk frameworks that align with overall lending goals and risk appetite Evaluate industry trends and macroeconomic indicators to uncover risk exposure and portfolio opportunities Oversee underwriting and credit assessment functions to ensure compliance and sound lending decisions Track credit performance metrics like delinquencies and charge-offs to adjust risk strategies accordingly Partner with relationship managers and sales teams to structure credit facilities that meet internal standards and client needs Lead and manage day-to-day credit operations, ensuring efficient processing and approvals Engage in all aspects of loan origination, closing, funding, and ongoing monitoring Participate in negotiation of loan terms and agreements Deliver internal credit reporting and performance updates Assist in hiring, mentoring, and team development initiatives Stay current on regulatory requirements and participate in loan reviews and audits Facilitate purchase/sale of loan participations Represent the organization at industry events and in community engagement activities Hold delegated authority to approve credit requests up to $3 million
Ideal Candidate:
