About the Opportunity – Credit Assistant We’re seeking a highlyorganized and detail-oriented Credit Assistant to join our team andsupport the Credit Department in managing customer accounts andcredit applications. As a Credit Assistant, you’ll play a key rolein maintaining accurate records, communicating with customers, andensuring the credit process runs smoothly. What You’ll Do as aCredit Assistant The Credit Assistant will support the CreditManager with a variety of essential tasks, including: Reviewing andprocessing credit applications. Contacting banks and tradereferences by email, phone, or fax. Updating customer credit limitsand payment terms. Notifying customers of their approved creditstatus via email. Responding to credit inquiries and maintaining aprofessional rapport with clients. Following up on past-dueinvoices via email and assisting with collections. Preparing andsending demand letters and collection packets. Coordinating withinternal departments regarding account statuses. Monitoring andresponding to emails in the credit inbox daily. Handling incomingcalls and directing them to the appropriate team members within thecredit department. Creating weekly aging reports and bi-weeklydelinquent account summaries. What Makes a Great Credit AssistantTo succeed as a Credit Assistant, you should bring: At least 1 yearof experience in a similar role, such as Credit Assistant,collections, or administrative support in a finance department, isideal. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach toproblem-solving. Strong communication skills and the ability toprioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). A professional andcourteous demeanor when interacting with internal teams andexternal customers.
