JOB SUMMARY
The Credit Analyst I is responsible for supporting the Commercial Banking Officers by performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks related to the management of the commercial credit portfolio. This role will analyze and interpret insights and trends for the business and industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Commercial Banking Officers in the credit underwriting process for new and renewing loans by preparing financial statement spreads, interpreting appraisals, summarizing client relationships, pulling credit reports, reviewing client organizational documents and other supporting activities as necessary. Assist Commercial Banking Officers with internal servicing of the portfolio by completing credit inquiries, completing risk rating change documentation, performing floor plan checks/audits, collecting client financials, and testing loan covenants. Prepare annual term loan reviews as directed by the Commercial Banking Officer. Assist the Commercial Banking Officers in completion of quarterly problem loan reports. Assist with various aspects of the portfolio tracking process including routine administrative and reporting functions as assigned. Collaborate with loan administrative staff and/or Commercial Banking Officer’s to provide timely response to internal and external customer inquiries and servicing needs. Participates in regular department and all-staff meetings and other bank events. Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience, including basic knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to organize and analyze complex financial information. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
