Credit Analyst Opportunity
Being a Credit Analyst is about more than just spreadsheets and financial ratios—it’s about building strong working relationships with Loan Officers and management to help meet client needs quickly and effectively. This position is an excellent starting point for a long-term banking career, with opportunities to grow into lending or more advanced credit roles over time.
What We’re Looking For:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Ideally 2+ year of experience as a Credit or Financial Analyst within a community bank
What You’ll Be Doing:
Analyze and assign risk ratings to credit lines, ensuring they align with both internal policy and regulatory expectations.
Support the Credit Analyst Manager and/or Senior Credit Review Officer with onboarding new team members and handling departmental reporting, including classified loans and loan limit monitoring.
Review loan files to confirm they meet the bank’s credit structure, documentation, and policy guidelines.
Escalate any loans that fall outside of policy with detailed explanations and recommend corrective action.
Communicate with Loan Officers regarding minor credit or documentation issues and follow up as needed until resolved.
Participate in Loan Committee meetings where credit decisions and classifications are finalized.
Fully Remote
Assist affiliate banks with special projects, loan file reviews, and board reporting when needed.
Attend department meetings and contribute to strategic discussions around lending operations.
Follow all company policies and complete required compliance training.
