1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: The Consumer Lending Officer serves as a consumer credit expert for Truist Wealth, ready to assist Wealth Advisors and their clients with consumer lending questions and offer lending strategies, when needed. In seamless partnership with Wealth Advisors and sales support, the Consumer Lending Officer navigates consumer credit requests through the origination process, ensuring a consistent and high-quality client experience. Consumer Lending Officer facilitates consumer lending requests for clients across all of Truist Wealth segments, providing for a diverse mix of borrower financial profiles and transaction types. Borrowers in the Private Banking and Wealth Management group include certain business owners that have relationships with Truist or have investments of at least $1MM at Truist to include Ultra High Net Worth borrowers with AUM in excess of $25MM+. Clients from the Wealth Specialty groups include industry professionals such as physicians, lawyers, athletes, entertainers or international clients. Wealth Consumer Lending Officer also facilitates liquid secured originations for clients in the Premier banking space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Serve as a subject matter expert for Truist Wealth consumer lending products, policies, and procedures. 2. Facilitate the credit process by originating the application in the loan origination system (SPRINT) and navigating credit requests through the origination process. 3. Manage incoming credit request referrals. Monitor, maintain and update loan activity, pipeline, and other pertinent information. 4. Perform preliminary review and analysis of credit requests for product fit. Identify policy exceptions, prepare loan request documentation recognizing the exceptions while offering justification and a mitigation plan. 5. Perform additional analysis of complex credit requests to include collateral evaluations, and income analysis, among other duties. 6. Communicate clearly and promptly with Wealth Advisor and client team throughout the credit request’s life cycle. 7. Partner effectively with credit risk management, loan services, legal counsel, compliance and other cross-functional teammates to support the timely delivery of the credit request. 8. Monitor the team inbox and hotline for incoming lending-related questions from internal teammates. 9. Assist with portfolio management duties, such as servicing request and modifications. 10. Keep abreast of changing business and economic developments which impact loan originations, portfolios, profitability and the financial services industry, in general. 11. Actively identify gaps in the credit process to improve credit solutions and client experience. 12. Assist with leading/managing special projects as requested by Truist Leadership. 13. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent education and related training 2. Three to five years of lending and financial analysis-related training 3. Seven years of banking experience; Wealth and/or Commercial experience desirable 4. Demonstrate a general understanding of major technical aspects of lending 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office products 7. SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check 8. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in a business related field 2. Wealth and/or Commercial related underwriting experience 3. Completion of formal bank credit training program from a well-respected financial institution General Description of Available Benefits for
