POSITION SUMMARY

The Credit Analyst will support the lenders inunderwriting requests for credit extensions to new and existingclients. They will perform detailed financial analysis for alllending opportunities, prepare credit approval and modificationrequests for presentation to Loan Committee by the lenders, performannual credit reviews as needed, ensure compliance with the Bank’scredit policies and procedures, ensure the timely collection andspreading of interim and annual financial statements provided byclients, and update financial information to maintain currentreporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes data (i.e. financialstatements, agency reports) on prospective and active borrowingaccounts and prepares written reports evaluating the short andlong-term prospects of the individual or company. Makesrecommendations to Loan Officers on the granting or denying ofloans and prepares sufficient information (i.e. loan submissions)to document recommendations. Identify and interpret trends infinancial data. Interpret key financial ratios (e.g. cash flow todebt service, debt-to-equity, etc.) Provides thorough documentationof all financial analysis with via spreadsheets and written creditoffering memorandums. Suggests a loan grade after conducting athorough credit analysis and documentation review. Coordinatesspecific work tasks within the department in order to ensure thesmooth and efficient flow of information. Provides assignedreports. Performs annual review of loan relationships. Otherprojects as assigned.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

College degree inbusiness field and/or minimum two years related experience in ananalytical, operations, lending or loan support banking position.

Must have analytical ability sufficient to learn analysis ofcomplex commercial financial statements. Working knowledge of loandocumentation and proper loan structure. Strong written and verbalcommunication skills along with a basic understanding of theprinciples of accounting. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs,especially Word and Excel. Excellent organizational andinterpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to workin a fast-paced environment and complete assignments in a timelymanner with minimal direction. Ability to work independently aswell as in a team environment and be responsive to supervisoryguidance. Must project a professional image by adhering toguidelines in the employee handbook. Responsible for compliancewith all regulations, laws, and bank policies and procedures thatpertain to the day-to-day job responsibilities. Responsible formaintaining a working knowledge of all compliance regulationspertinent to the assigned duties by successful completion of anycourses assigned on a timely basis. Responsible for adherence toBank’s Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct as well as observingand promoting compliance with the Code among fellow bank personnel,customers and vendors.
