$60,575.00 To $75,700.00 Annually
Role
Under the general supervision of the Credit Department Supervisor, the credit risk management of the institution’s commercial loan portfolios, which includes underwriting of commercial loans for customers with total exposure exceeding $500M for C & I loan and commercial mortgages. Maintains confidentiality of customer’s information and compliance with all requirements and policies.
Reports to AVP Credit Manager
Position is in office located at our Corporate Headquarters location 15 Scott’s Corners Drive, Montgomery
NY 12549.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Complete a thorough, in-depth analysis of new credit requests, credit change requests, renewals and annual relationship reviews.
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for lenders on new, renewal and existing loans.
Determines that loan file documentation is complete and properly executed to ensure adequate enforceability of the company’s position for all new loans reviewed.
Recommend risk rate changes when analysis merits.
Assists in the administration of the institution’s commercial loan portfolios as to credit risk management loan considerations to maintain quality control and minimize losses.
Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank’s Loan Policy and procedures and identify exceptions to policy.
Originate the collection and tracking of annual financial information for the execution of annual reviews on existing portfolio loans.
Other duties assigned by the Credit Department Supervisor.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Experience
Ability to read and understand company financial reports Working knowledge of Advanced Excel
Education/Certifications/Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of coursework and work experience.
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to develop an opinion based on factual analysis and deliver a written and verbal opinion under stress.
Other Skills - Analytical skills
- Experienced in credit analysis, cash flow reports, and financial statement analysis
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Must be highly competent with significant expertise in multiple computer programs. Will ensure competency is achieved and maintained with training as needed.
- Ability to effectively manage one’s time to complete work according to established deadlines.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
