We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Manager tojoin our fast-paced team. This role is integral to our financialstability and involves managing all aspects of credit, collections,and accounts receivable functions of the organization. Thesuccessful candidate will have a strong understanding of financialstatements, expenses, income statements, and entries. This rolerequires a strategic thinker with a knack for problem-solving and apassion for optimizing company revenue.
Responsibilities:
1.Oversee and manage the entire credit granting process, includingthe consistent application of a credit policy, periodic creditreviews of existing customers, and the assessment of thecreditworthiness of potential customers. 2. Develop, initiate,maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the generaloperation of the credit and collections program and its relatedactivities. 3. Monitor and manage the accounts receivable portfolioby tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues in a timelymanner. 4. Implement and ensure compliance with best practices incredit and collections processes. 5. Prepare and present reportsdetailing the credit and collections activities and performance tosenior management. 6. Work closely with the sales team to resolvecustomer disputes and manage credit exposure. 7. Conduct financialanalysis, including the ability to review an income statement,balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. 8. Collaborate with thefinance department to reconcile transaction disputes and prepareentries. 9. Lead and mentor a team of credit and collectionsspecialists, fostering a well-trained and motivated staff.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, orrelated field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a creditand collections role 3. Proven experience in managing a team anddriving performance. 4. Strong understanding of financial concepts,including expenses, income statements, and entries. 5. Proficientin the use of financial software and systems. 6. Excellentleadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 7. Abilityto maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and enteringfinancial information. 8. Exceptional negotiation skills and theability to work effectively with customers and internal teams. 9.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, anddeadlines simultaneously. 10. High level of integrity anddependability with a strong sense of urgency andresults-orientation.
