Berks Packing is a 3rd generation family-owned and operated meatprocessor facility located in Reading, Pennsylvania. We have along-standing tradition of providing excellent product quality andcustomer service. Berks has been a family favorite for over 89years! Berks Packing has an immediate need for an experiencedCredit Manager. Under the general direction of CFO, the CreditManager is a member of the Berks Packing management team whoprovides strategic input, makes recommendations, and assists withestablishing strategic initiatives and policies. The CreditManager’s primary responsibility is to oversee the credit-grantingprocess, ensure timely payment of outstanding balances and minimizecredit risk. The Credit Manager also oversees the strategicimplementation of sales promotional programs by establishingprocesses to record, track, and report customer specificperformance to key stakeholders, so Company strategic initiativesare reinforced. As a critical member of the Accounting Team, theCredit Manager also assists with the Accounts Receivable andAccounts Payable functions on an as need basis, so departmentalworkflows are seamless.
TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY
Microsoft Officeproficiency with emphasis on Excel. Internet proficiency.
Proficiency in Accounting Software. Familiarity with ERP (Sage X3).Experience with lock box and other electronic banking programs.
Experience with customer portals.
EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience),Finance, or Business Administration. 5 years of related experiencein a manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing a plus),including supervisory experience. Experience in a lean,conservative, mid-sized manufacturing company, within theConsumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred. Or any other equivalentcombination of education and experience. A pre-employment physicaland drug/alcohol screen is required.
