Join our team as a Credit Analyst Training Lead, where you’ll train new analysts and provide support to the Credit Analyst department. Overview Horizon Farm Credit is actively seeking a Credit Analyst Training Lead to join our Credit Analysis team. Qualified candidate may work in any available Horizon Farm Credit branch. Step into a leadership and mentorship role as our Credit Analyst Training Lead! You’ll be responsible for onboarding and developing new credit analysts, ensuring consistent application of underwriting standards, and serving as a subject matter expert across the Association. You’ll also support pipeline management, contribute to process improvements, and help shape the future of our credit analysis function. Areas of Responsibility:

Lead the training and onboarding of new credit analysts. Ensure staff are proficient in compliance requirements, internal systems, and underwriting standards. Serve as a mentor and resource to new and existing analysts. Provide feedback to supervisors to support performance evaluations and staff development. Assist in managing the underwriting pipeline and support analysts in developing high-quality loan packages. Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements and contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Participate in pilot teams and cross-functional projects. Maintain deep knowledge of credit systems, tools, and processes. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for the department. Engage with teams across the Association to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with compliance and operational goals. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Experience Generally, five or more years of experience in credit or lending, with prior underwriting and training experience preferred. Preferences Strong verbal and written communication skills. An advanced knowledge of agricultural lending and related financial products and services and selling skills. Superior analytical and computer skills. Demonstrated leadership as a mentor, trainer, and credit resource. Experience leading or participating in cross-functional initiatives. Ability to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel as needed. Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Who are we?
