As a Cash Application Specialist at Ryerson, you will be responsible for accurately applying and posting customer payments and ensuring all unapplied cash and deductions are resolved in a timely manner to maintain the credibility of the customer’s credit standing. Roles and Responsibilities Timely posting of all payments not automatically posted by the lockbox service Timely reporting of all unauthorized deductions to the appropriate Credit Analyst Interacting on a daily basis with Credit Analyst to resolve payment deductions Interacting with regional branches on payment adjustments Creating and running non-conformance reports as needed All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements High School Diploma or GED SAP experience highly preferred Working knowledge of MS-Office Suite applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Outlook) Ability to work repetitive tasks with a high level of output Able to perform job duties under stressful conditions Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated competencies of being a team player, maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, other departments and all levels of management Excellent at prioritization and multi-tasking.
