Position Summary:
The Credit Specialist plays a vital role in supporting high-performing Senior Credit Analysts. In this position, you will provide leverage on initial loan screening, executive summary composition, and help manage the risk of the pipeline and active portfolio. As a right hand to the senior CA, the specialist will be given the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Renovo credit. Your effectiveness in this role will enhance the capabilities of both the Senior Credit Analyst and the team as a whole, enabling them to make more efficient and sound credit decisions. The combined goal of the specialist and Senior CA is to build a fluid team dynamic and credit process that will result in writing quality loans swiftly, accurately, and efficiently with little compromise to production. This position is eligible for overtime.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has any number of years of experience in the lending world, preferably at a community bank or private lender.
Responsibilities:
- Assists Senior CA in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of Borrower’s financial condition
- Compiles data from credit bureaus, tax returns, and statement of assets etc. for analysis
- Prepares clear and precise executive summaries primarily for 1-4 asset classes to repeat clients.
- Coordinates with Senior CA to manage the existing portfolio in regard to loan extensions, modifications and covenant tracking
- Pre-emptively Identifies potential risks to the Senior CA
- Has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the credit guidelines and policies in place
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Senior CA and SVP of Credit.
