We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist II to join our dynamic Loan Servicing team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our mortgage and auto loan portfolios, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment, possesses excellent time management skills, and can adeptly interpret complex servicing rules and financial regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

As a Loan Servicing Specialist II, you will be responsible for the comprehensive life cycle of loan servicing, including:

Loan Operations Management:

Oversee critical loan servicing functions, including accurate payoff processing, escrow account management, document tracking, and new loan setup.

Data Integrity & Adjustments:

Perform precise loan adjustments and corrections to ensure data accuracy across all systems.

Reporting & Reconciliation:

Generate and analyze daily exception reports, payment reports, and monthly reports for reconciliation, tracking, and investor reporting (e.g., FHLB and MERS Reporting).

Payment & Title Management:

Process daily mail payments and payoffs. Crucially, manage auto title tracking, ensuring new titles are received and paid-off loan titles are released to the appropriate recipients.

Customer & Administrative Support:

Respond to diverse daily requests such as payment verification, generating letters of guarantee and lien releases, processing payoff demands, managing statement generation, credit reporting, insurance tracking, and annual escrow analysis.

System & Compliance Oversight:

Conduct daily, end-of-month, and end-of-year database processing, including IRS reporting, across various servicing system platforms. Ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation and payment of all escrowed property taxes and insurance to relevant agencies. Assist with other loan servicing tasks and additional duties as they may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (e.g., 2+ years of directly relevant experience in loan servicing operations, particularly with mortgage and auto loans).

Analytical & Problem-Solving:

Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.

Organizational & Time Management:

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and assignments effectively.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and professional interactions with internal teams and external parties.

Integrity:

Unwavering trustworthiness and commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.

Preferred Systems Experience:

Experience with DNA, Fannie Mae, MERS, and VINtek is a significant plus.
