Job Summary:
The Associate, Loan Serving handles a wide-ranging collection of commercial real estate loans along with joint venture equity assets. The primary responsibilities of the team encompass a variety of key areas: managing transactions, handling billing procedures, determining and providing payoff statements, fulfilling diverse loan initiation protocols, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The new Associate will support fellow team members and collaborate with different internal sectors to achieve impactful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed examinations of loan and equity documents, along with closing statements, to gain a complete understanding of each asset. Implement precise loan initiation practices in the servicing system, ensuring data is accurately recorded in line with the related loan or asset documents. Create and oversee reserve accounts as dictated by loan agreement terms. Conduct meticulous checks of monthly billing statements for accuracy and manage their timely delivery to borrowers. Manage the modification of interest rates for loans with variable rates as necessary. Enter and update transactional information accurately, process payments from borrowers, handle cash management tasks, and manage external fund movements, including the facilitation of advance draws and reserve disbursements. Monitor and report on significant dates and milestones for loans, including overseeing the issuance of maturity notices. Collaborate close cooperation with the designated Asset Manager, team members from the Treasury department, and oversee investor remittance activities. Manage and execute various client-specific requests and tasks promptly and efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required 2+ experience in a relevant field. Proficient knowledge of commercial real estate dealings, including a solid grasp of sector-specific terminology. Exceptional customer service skills, aimed at comprehensively understanding and meeting the needs of clients. Robust analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to precisely evaluate the requirements of both internal and external parties. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once while maintaining adherence to tight deadlines. Proactive attitude towards understanding how operations work, coupled with a motivation to improve procedural efficiencies. Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling the creation of strong connections with clients and effective collaboration with team members. Effective communication abilities, capable of articulating complex ideas with clarity in both verbally and in written forms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
