https://trophypointlending.com Position Overview Trophy Point Investment Group, a premier private direct lender, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Servicing Specialist on a contract basis to support our Loan Servicing Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of loan servicing activities, maintaining detailed financial records, and providing excellent support to internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of loan servicing processes, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to tasks.

Key Responsibilities Loan Processing Support:

Assist with the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing bank wires and the distribution of funds as directed.

Ledger Account Assistance:

Support the maintenance of detailed ledger accounts for each loan by accurately posting transactions related to interest, principal, escrow, and fees under the guidance of the Loan Servicing Manager.

Payoff Demand Support:

Assist in the preparation and documentation of payoff demand requests.

Escrow Account Assistance:

Support the oversight of escrow accounts, including assisting with disbursements for taxes, insurance, and other items, and contribute to regular reviews.

Reconciliation and Reporting Support:

Assist with the daily reconciliation of bank statements, loan transactions, and ledgers to ensure accuracy. Help generate daily reports and summaries for review.

Documentation:

Accurately document all transactions and updates within company software, ensuring thorough and compliant record-keeping.

Communication Management:

Monitor incoming emails and assist in handling department inquiries promptly, routing requests appropriately.

Stakeholder Communication:

Assist the Loan Servicing Manager in serving as a point of contact for private lenders by providing timely and professional responses to inquiries.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with other departments to support seamless collaboration between Operations and Accounting.

Compliance Assistance:

Under the direction of the Loan Servicing Manager, learn and apply federal, state, and local collection laws, rules, and regulations, including FDCPA and CFPB, to ensure compliance.

Risk Mitigation Support:

Assist in identifying potential financial risks in loan servicing and communicate these to the Loan Servicing Manager.

Audit Support:

Assist with the preparation for audits by ensuring loan servicing activities are well-documented.

Qualifications Education:

Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in loan servicing, banking, or a related administrative role within the financial or real estate industry. Experience in mortgage loan servicing is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with basic loan servicing software and financial record-keeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Compliance Awareness:

Basic understanding of federal, state, and local collection regulations is beneficial.

Mortgage Familiarity:

Some understanding of mortgage terminology and basic loan documentation is helpful.

Communication Skills:

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage tasks effectively.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work as a contractor in the USA. Additional Requirements Ability to pass a background check. Exposure to bank or mortgage industry practices is a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
