Non-Exempt Purpose:
Manage collateral insurance program for all collateral loans for the Credit Union.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with an approved Credit Union vendor for collateral protection insurance to obtain up-to-date insurance information from members and notify any members of pending force placed insurance policies for mortgage, flood and auto loans. Create monthly reports and follow up to ensure our insurance is up to date on all outstanding loans. Build relationships with external vendors for assistance as needed with processing of unique insurance and lien situations. Process Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) refunds. Assist Accounting in reconciliation of vendor General Ledger (GL) for forced placed insurance and refunds. Post entries to loans as needed. Contact insurance companies via phone, email, or fax for insurance policy updates. Contact members via phone, email or text for insurance policy updates, force place status. Back up Title & Records Specialist and Special Accounts as needed. Scan old membership, mortgage, and loan files into the Credit Union imaging system to make it accessible to all team members. Maintain tracking system to dispose of outdated files based on retention requirements. Conduct account research as needed. Cross-sell Credit Union services when appropriate. Assist in other assigned duties.

Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements:
A high school education or GED. Minimum of one to three years of lending experience. Knowledge of the fundamentals of banking and financial services delivery. Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Ability to give and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be dependable and reliable. Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
