Currently we are hiring a Loan Services Clerk to our Corporate team at our Cape Girardeau branch. In this position, you will work independently verifying loan documents, tracking escrow payments, disbursing payments for associated loan charges, generating internal reports, and maintaining loan records for loans processed by the lending staff. You will communicate daily with customers, insurance providers, and coworkers. It is important that you display excellent customer service, communicate clearly, and demonstrate basic clerical and office technology aptitude.
Essential Functions:
Organizes, Maintains, updates, and verifies loan records are complete and accurate. Daily balances loan activity with general ledger accounts and reviews reports. Answers routine inquiries from customers about loans and transactions. Provides support to branch and other bank personnel as needed. Provides delinquent loan reports and various monthly reports to designated bank personnel. Disburses payments from internal accounts for associated loan charges. Maintains Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) Borrowing Base Certificate checklists and submits monthly reports. Reviews and maintains insurance tracking system. Documents and tracks repossessions, real estate for sale, collections, bankruptcy, and charge offs. Maintains appropriate documentation for auditors, examiners, and internal research. Understand and follows all applicable banking laws and regulations. Maintains regular, punctual and physical attendance. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required Prior banking and loan experience in a fast paced environment Minimum two years’ experience in a customer service role, preferably within a lending institution. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Technical aptitude to learn to use a variety of specialized financial software. Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
