The Coordinator of Accredited Program Services for the Nursing Department, ensures the efficient oversight and implementation of all administrative processes that support program operations. This role is responsible for coordinating program admissions, managing data collection for accreditation reports, and overseeing field and clinical agreements for student placements. The position specifically supports the operations of the nationally accredited Nursing BSN program leading to licensure and serves as a liaison between the Dept. of Nursing and the Dean’s office, College of Education and Health Professions.
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Education and Health Professions, the Coordinator collaborates closely with the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Dean and works with the Department Chair to facilitate program operations and compliance with accreditation requirements. Position Accountabilities Accreditation and Compliance Support

  • Facilitate the collection, organization, and management of program outcome assessment data for accredited nursing programs.
  • Maintain electronic repositories for accreditation-related materials, meeting minutes, and reports.
  • Assist in scheduling external accreditation meetings, including communication with advisory board members, site team members, and clinical contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with Missouri State Board of Nursing (MSBN) accreditation requirements by providing necessary clerical and administrative support. Program Admissions Coordination
  • Manage program application processes, including verification of program prerequisites, coordination of required admissions tests, background checks, drug screenings, and other field/clinical placement requirements.
  • Process student applications and verify required documentation, such as immunizations and background checks.
  • Attend recruitment events promoting nursing program.
  • Coordinates admission/inquiry appointments with nursing faculty and leaders in Enrollment Services.
  • Work closely with the Registrar’s Office and the Nursing Department Chair to review transcripts.
  • Monitor the CAS Configuration Portal to ensure accurate program page information and application deadlines.
  • Supports students through the CAS platform including communicating with students.
  • Track applicants progress daily on the Nursing CAS platform and proactively communicating with applicants.
  • Proactively reach out to pre-nursing majors at Park to cultivate internal applications to Park’s BSN. Student and Faculty Support
  • Maintain student records and communicate with students regarding academic progress, deadlines, and important announcements.
  • Provide administrative support to faculty, including ordering specialized supply items.
  • Oversee student work-study employees assisting in the accredited program.
  • Assist in updating academic degree program maps and curriculum information. Collaboration and Communication
  • Work collaboratively with Department Chair and Assistant Department Chair to process student applications efficiently.
  • Participate in meetings with nursing program leadership to coordinate logistics for admission cycles.
  • Serve as a liaison between the nursing program and other University departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Respond to general inquiries about the program and direct specific questions to the appropriate personnel. Administrative and Operational Support

  • Promote a positive image of the University to both internal and external stakeholders.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience as an administrative assistant in a complex organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new technology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and adherence to confidentiality.
Preferred:
  • Experience in higher education settings.
  • Familiarity with university databases and learning management systems (e.g. Workday, Canvas LMS).
  • Experience managing program accreditation documentation and compliance processes. Physical Requirements
