Job Description
This Position is for a Loan Assistant/Closer with a bank location in Philadelphia, MS.
Hours:
Typically 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Thursday, 8:00 to 5:00 on Fridays. Occasional Saturday hours.
Summary:
Ensure loan packages are complete and accurate through the gathering of financial data and credit information used in the credit decision. May act as a client liaison to ensure loans are closed in an efficient and effective manner.
Essential Duties:
Provide excellent customer service to loan customers by preparing, scheduling, and executing loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures as well as applicable Federal and State Regulations. Ensure all necessary loan documentation, including credit reports, verification, and tax returns, are properly collected, updated and executed. Record and cancel titles, UCC’s and deeds of trust. Assist customers in making draws and payments on lines of credit. Notarize documents as needed; file. Assist in the preparation of loan packages for committee approval. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the loan system and loan requirements. Work through loan exception report to ensure liens are perfected. Perform a variety of duties to provide profits for the bank and attempts to fulfill customer needs by possessing overall current knowledge of bank products and services and actively seeking to sell and cross-sell the bank’s services to new and existing customers. Perform all job functions in compliance with the requirements of banking laws and regulations. Perform other duties as required by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
1 — 3 Years successful experience as a Loan Assistant/Closer in an FDIC Insured Financial Institution or similar work environment. Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Exceptional Customer Service and Sales Background. Knowledge/Use of Microsoft Office and other PC applications. Good working knowledge of state and federal banking regulations. High School Diploma or Higher.
