Description Join a high-performing team focused on the accurate and timely processing of consumer loan payments and payoffs. This role supports the back-end servicing of retail loans, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards. You’ll work behind the scenes—no customer interaction—handling lockbox research, foreclosure payment validation, and fee reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming loan payments and payoff checks from various sources (lockboxes, FedEx, branches). Research and verify payment details, including V numbers, payoff documents, and account years. Ensure foreclosure payments are only processed on open accounts. Review and reconcile bank fees to prevent customer overcharges. Apply interest rates accurately based on loan terms. Follow internal procedures for column and house checks. Use servicing systems (MSP Host, LPS, MLS, Image Central) to maintain accurate records and process transactions. Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and support daily operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing, banking operations, or financial services preferred. Familiarity with mainframe-based systems (MSP Host) and document imaging tools. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Basic understanding of financial principles, especially interest rate application. Desire to grow within a knowledge-sharing team environment. Experience Level Entry Level
