•Req Number•160661FlexStaff is hiring a Credit Representative for our client.
This is a part time position Monday-Wednesday from 9am-5pm located in Melville.
Represents the organization to customers by providing information, responding to inquiries or troubleshooting product problems. Typically reports to a Supervisor or Manager. Position includes learning company policies and processes so employees can develop the basic skills necessary to be successful in the job role. Their tasks are routine in nature, do not require decision-making and they work under close supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES+ Carries out the function of collection of accounts receivable and past dues, and coordinates resolution of customer chargeback claims, disputes, and billing issues.+ Gathers credit and/or reference information.+ Maintains database by entering, updating, and retrieving data, as well as formatting and generating reports.+ Responds to inquiries from customers or external collection resources.+ Coordinates/assists in the application of check, wire transfer, and credit card payments with the Accounts receivable Dept. to ensure proper application.+ Resolves charge backs and disputed items through contacts the Billing and/or Sales departments, and follow up with customer for prompt collection.+ Prepares periodic account information.+ Receives telephone inquires and answer routine questions on department policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS+ Intermediate or above Excel skills+ Typically requires general education and/or vocational training but little to no experience.+ This position requires a high school degree or equivalent.+ At least one year in a Credit and/or Accounts receivable department or equivalent experience required.+ A bachelor’s degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of experience.•Additional Salary DetailThe salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
