The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate the loan process, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with underwriting standards. This position requires strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of marine loan servicing, processes, and financial documentation. Responsibilities Evaluate and analyze loan applications to determine eligibility based on underwriting guidelines. Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring they understand the necessary documentation and requirements. Negotiate loan terms with clients and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the transaction. Review contracts and financial documents to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the loan process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marine industry trends, loan products, and best practices in financial services. Requirements Proven experience in sales, finance, marine or mortgage servicing is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Familiarity with escrow processes and contract negotiations. Proficient in basic math skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules. Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
