This position has the flexibility to be located at the back office operations center in Rock Hill, SC. Individual must be have reliable transportation with the ability to work on-site. Remote work is not available. Initial training as well as supplemental training will be completed at a training center in Lancaster, SC.

Job Summary :

The Recovery Services Support Specialists are responsible for accurate file maintenance, specific to the charge off function, and are expected to support all individual functionalities within the Loss Mitigation Department. Job function proficiency will be required to perform transactions, detailed research, and prepare reports for Management and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Compile all Consumer and Mortgage Loan charge-off submissions within Excel and submit the monthly reporting to Accounting for Board of Director (BOD) approval. Compile all Consumer and Mortgage Loan miscellaneous charge offs adjustments and submit the monthly reporting to Accounting for Board of Director (BOD) approval Perform the established monthly Charge Off processes within Keystone and make notations to the Collection Software for the BOD approved loan accounts. Ensure all Consumer, Credit Card, and Mortgage debts submitted for Charge Off are properly updated with the appropriate information for 1099 C Tax and Credit Bureau Reporting, and the Accounting Department has balanced prior to month end. Ensure Member Loss/ Non-Participation Letters are issued to members that are exceptions to the Member Loss Automation Process and close the share accounts and ATM/Debit cards timely according to the timeframes within the letters. Monitor the Member Loss/Non-Participation Exception Reports and Tracking reports to ensure the closure of accounts that are not automatically processed and ensure the Partial Member Losses are worked accordingly. Ensure DDCH Exception Reports are worked daily/weekly to ensure accurate 1099 C Tax Reporting. Assist with year-end testing and verification for Annual issuance of 1099 C’s. Assist Branch staff with questions from membership regarding member loss accounts and account closures. Assist Branch staff and membership with Charged Off Debt settlement requests. Apply all Bankruptcy Trustee loan payments received monthly and apply any payments received for Judgments, Settlements, Probate matters, or miscellaneous payments as necessary. Process all repo billing for the Loss Control Department and with Recovery Services Departments as needed. Manage the sealed bid received tracking process for OREO’s being sold at Recovery Services. Process corporate checks for various departments within Recovery Services for local Magistrates, Clerk of Courts, Probate Courts, Tax Collectors, DMV’s, and payments to contractors/repair facilities for member CPI claims as needed. Assist the Loss Mitigation Team with any Bankruptcy functions, Credit Bureau Disputes, Judgment Filings, or Judgment Executions needs as needed. Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Job Specifications:

Individuals must have a high school education- Previous experience in collections or Loss Mitigation is desired. Individuals must possess great organizational skills, be detail oriented, and be able to work individually as well as in a team environment. Individuals must be a self-starter, possess problem solving skills, and be able to work in a fast pace and handle large volumes of work. Individuals must have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word and Excel. The individual must be proficient with Keystone application and be able to function in a fast-paced multitasking environment
