POSITION SUMMARY
The Loan Servicing Specialist performs general loan servicing duties in connection with commercial and consumer loans including booking new/renewed loans to the core system, completing and reviewing reports, balancing general ledger accounts, performing loan research, processing loan payoffs and performing loan maintenance.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Book new loans, renewals, modifications and letters of credit to the core system. Balance loan general ledger and deposit accounts. Review and complete loan reports. Resolve day-to-day operational issues. Process escrow disbursements and escrow analysis. Participation loan processing (purchased and sold). Process loan payments, draws, and payoffs. Perform loan account research and maintenance. Assist with troubleshooting loan concerns and answering questions for lending and retail staff. Assist in project initiatives. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s core system and other ancillary systems. Understand and comply with bank policies, procedures, laws and regulations as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policies, procedures, laws and regulations; and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and communication skills. Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet service level expectations. Proficient MS Office programs and computer skill. Excellent customer service skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma BS/BA or associate’s degree in business or related field of study preferred but not required Minimum of three years of banking experience, preferably working in loan processing, loan servicing or loan post review.
