Our biggest differentiating factor is that we will compensate based on a percentage of file profit. We offer one level of compensation if you work files for customers we sell and a higher level if the employee brings in the customer or is a big factor in securing the business. In some instances, we will provide a small salary while a new employee builds their portfolio of business. Our firm is a Customs Broker handling a wide range of commodities and offering multiple services. We also sell services on a commission basis for other companies that fall outside of our core competency. This provides some opportunity to earn passive income. We are very focused on developing the T86, Drawback, and Bonded Warehousing in addition to straight Customs Entries. Experience and Requirements Customs Entry Writing Airport and Seaport Import Traffic Procedures such as Issuing Delivery Orders, Freight Payment, Coordinating Inspection…If you don’t have experience you are able to learn quickly Bookkeeping Skills such as accruing funds, billing, making freight payments… Profit Minded, we will look to you to make every effort to assure that we achieve long term prosperity for you and the company Relationship Skills, the ability to develop a sense of empathy with customers, vendors, and government agencies, and build mutually beneficial relationships Communication Skills, willingness and patience to explain complex issues to customers and others Negotiating, You have some past experience presenting and negotiating rates. Ideally, you have also negotiated rates with vendors Foreign Language Skills, Not necessary, but we would love to have them and would work with you to try to find business opportunities leveraging your skills and interests Compliance and Risk Management Mindset – The ability to manage these two critical requirements efficiently. Hours You have the freedom to choose your hours. Keep in mind that customers usually expect their customs broker to be available during business hours. Unfortunately, some tasks come up that need to be done after business hours. We trust that you will be able to balance this in a way that assures you and the business will be perceived positively by the customer. Final Notes We are a fairly new company who started operations just over two years ago. The compensation plan described in this document has not been fully implemented yet. While we feel very confident that it will be a very mutually beneficial program for all, we feel it is important to communicate that this is a startup program.
