Full-Time | On-Site A growing mid-sized freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join its Miami-based operations team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the full scope of import operations and is confident handling documentation and compliance from start to finish. Experience in freight forwarding is required , as the role involves daily coordination across customs brokerage, carriers, and internal logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file customs entries for air and ocean imports Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with CBP regulations Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies Track shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery Communicate with clients to clarify documentation or entry details File ISFs and handle compliance filings as needed Maintain accurate and organized records Collaborate with the operations team to ensure cargo flows efficiently

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in customs brokerage and freight forwarding Strong knowledge of U.S. import procedures and HTS classification Proficient in ABI/ACE systems Hands-on experience with both air and ocean freight Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask Strong communication skills for client and internal coordination

Preferred:

Experience using CargoWise or similar systems Knowledge of PGA requirements (FDA, USDA, etc.) Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
