The Import Export Clerk at the Shipbuilding Company in the shipbuilding industry will be responsible for coordinating and managing the import and export of boating-related goods and equipment to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
Experience Requirements
Requirement 1: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Requirement 2: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics, preferably in the boating or marine industry.
Requirement 3: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with logistics management software or ERP systems.
Understanding of customs and transportation regulation
- HazMat and regular cargo
Experience preparing full container loads - including labeling and palletization
Education Requirements
Associates or Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities - Prepare and process all necessary documentation for the import and export of boating products.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations specific to the boating industry.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to schedule shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels of imported and exported boating goods.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries regarding import/export processes.
