Job Duties:
Oversee the whole import/export process to ensure timely, cost-effective shipments
Responsible for the coordination of logistics, analysis of market trends, monitoring of compliance with regulations, and the management of the movement of products across international borders
Provide assistance to the import/export department in order to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and guarantee the timely and efficient execution of the shipment process
Analyze and propose ways to improve the organizations import/ export department; develop new logistics process analysis
Collect and maintain data for developing complex reports
Coordinate air and ocean import/export shipments including dangerous goods
Ensure compliance with tariffs, import/export laws, and customs documentation
Classify goods being exported according to customs guidelines and obtain import/export licenses
Make sure imported/exported goods comply with government regulations
Provide strategic consultation and guidance to company management on all decisions relative to import/export that have impact on operations
Lead and coordinate import/export issues with other company personnel
Assist in the development of automated solutions relating to customs transactions, clearing shipments for export controls, order processing for export controls screening and licensing.
Requirements:
Bachelors in Strategic Management or equivalent foreign degree
